School Activities

Kansas Legislature has recently approved Senate Bill 113, which allows for students who attend private schools to participate in public school activities such as sports teams and debate programs.

This being said, if your child has interest in participating in an activity, we would be working with the Miami County school districts to allow your child to be involved at that level with any school district activities overseen by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.

Classroom

Parental Support

Our parents play a vital part in the total program of Compass Christian Academy. Working together, parents and teachers can strengthen individual students and provide an excellent school experience.

Together, it will be our goal to help fulfill Proverbs 22:6 which says: “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not turn from it.” Some suggestions for support are listed in our CCA Handbook or you may reach out to one of our administrators or supervisors.

Parent-Teacher Fellowship

The overall goal of PTF is to promote fellowship among parents and faculty, provide active support to the faculty and help build a better school for the children. The involvement and support of parents is essential for a successful program. Meetings will take place throughout the year and will be communicated through your child's supervisor.

Community Support

From volunteering in the classroom to giving financially, there are various areas in which the public and the family of students can involved and help with the development of CCA!

Praying Hands

PRAYER

One of the most powerful ways you can get involved is through prayer. Pray for our staff and our Board of Education that they follow the Lord's will for CCA. Pray for our students that they may know Christ and follow Him as they grow in their faith and in their education here at CCA. Pray for our students' parents that they, too, may know Christ and follow Him as they disciple their children and have an important role in their education here at CCA.

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

1 John 5:14 (NIV)

Quality Time

VOLUNTEERING

We have many volunteer needs and opportunities and hope that you will prayerfully consider contributing your time generously to make our programs and activities a success. These needs include serving in our lunchroom, monitoring, library maintenance, substitute teacher, teaching electives, recess monitoring, office projects, special PTF events, fundraisers, and many other areas.

NOTE: For safety issues, all those who volunteer must have a background check.

GIVING

Because CCA is operating as a mission of Lighthouse Church, this means we operate solely on our tuition amount and the donations of those who feel called to give unto us financially. These givings go toward the students' curriculum, teachers' classroom supplies and books, staff salaries, and so much more.

If you feel called to give, please write a check out to Lighthouse Presbyterian and put CCA in the memo line
